Job title: Prelicensure OB Adjunct Faculty
About the Role The Prelicensure OB Adjunct Faculty member will contribute to obstetrics education for prelicensure nursing students in the College of Nursing. This position supports California Baptist University's evangelical mission and requires a commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service through the integration of Christian faith and learning.
What You'll Do
- Teach obstetrics content and supervise clinical experiences for prelicensure nursing students in alignment with the College of Nursing curriculum.
- Engage in scholarship and service activities that support the mission of the College of Nursing and the University.
- Maintain eligibility for California BRN teaching approval and hold an unencumbered California RN license; participate in ongoing clinical competency to inform instruction.
What We're Looking For
- Master’s degree in nursing required; applicant with a BSN who is enrolled in a graduate program is eligible.
- Teaching experience is preferred; minimum of one year of direct patient care within the past five years in the designated clinical area.
- Must be eligible for teaching approval by the California BRN and hold an unencumbered California RN license.
- Commitment to the mission of California Baptist University and to the integration of Christian faith and learning, including alignment with the Baptist Faith and Message as indicated in the application.
Nice to Have
- Teaching experience in higher education, especially within nursing programs.
- Prior involvement in obstetrics clinical education or simulation-based OB training.
