Job title: Preclinical Technologist I
About the Role Preclinical Pharmacology supports pre-clinical studies for external customers in Oncology, Neurobiology, and Autoimmune Diseases. The Preclinical Technologist I works under general supervision to learn basic procedures and perform study tasks to consistently execute procedures according to protocol and SOPs; work schedules may fluctuate based on department needs and may include weekends, holidays, and overtime.
What You'll Do
- Perform basic procedures as required by the functional group and study needs, adhering to SOPs, policies, and regulatory procedures.
- Enter data accurately into lab IT systems/databases and maintain documentation per protocols/SOPs.
- Seek training to perform procedures proficiently and participate in development of new procedures.
- Perform basic lab maintenance, including room sanitation, restocking, and monitoring equipment operational status; contribute to a clean, safe working environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- BS degree in an applicable field or a High School Diploma with 2+ years' applicable lab/animal care experience.
- Excellent communication and listening skills with the ability to effectively exchange information verbally and in writing; proven strong writing skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to perform all SOPs, policies, and regulatory procedures; flexible and able to multitask.
- Ability to work in preclinical environments, especially with animal handling.
- Able to work flexible shifts (evening/weekend/holiday).
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $23.73 - $34.41 per hour (USD).
