Pre-Sales Manager in India
The PreSales Manager will define how we engage prospects, shape solutions, and win complex Salesforce pursuits. Reporting to the Director of Solution Engineering, this senior individual contributor will lead presales strategy for high-value opportunities, run discovery and solution design, deliver compelling demonstrations, and build scalable presales assets and processes that improve deal quality and velocity across the organization.
The PreSales Manager partners closely with Sales, Services, Marketing, Delivery, and Salesforce teams to qualify opportunities, translate client needs into winning solutions, lead RFP and proposal responses, leverage AI-enabled tools, and continuously improve the systems that enable presales excellence. This role combines consultative selling, solution architecture, storytelling, process improvement, coaching, and technology enablement to increase win rates while creating a more efficient sales cycle.

Main Responsibilities

PreSales Strategy & Solution Positioning

Lead presales strategy for complex, multi-stakeholder pursuits with minimal oversight, from qualification through close.

Lead client discovery sessions to understand business challenges, requirements, and success criteria, and translate them into compelling solution narratives that communicate Cloud for Good’s unique value proposition and competitive differentiators.

Design high-level solution approaches, scope, and estimates in partnership with Solution Architects and Delivery, ensuring solutions are feasible, competitive, and aligned with client evaluation criteria.

Partner with Sales, Services, Delivery, and executive stakeholders to develop account and pursuit strategies that position Cloud for Good for success.

Collaborate with Salesforce Public Sector teams, Salesforce Account Executives, and strategic partners on joint pursuits, co-selling motions, and partner-driven opportunities.

Ensure solution messaging accurately reflects Cloud for Good’s capabilities, delivery methodology, and implementation approach.

Demonstrations, Proposals & Deal Support

Plan and deliver tailored product demonstrations, proofs of concept, workshops, and oral presentations that clearly show value to client stakeholders.

Lead the development of high-quality RFP, RFI, and RFQ responses, statements of work, and other client-facing deliverables, coordinating cross-functional contributors and ensuring consistent messaging.

Establish and maintain presales quality standards, solution review and deal governance processes, and handoff practices that ensure a smooth transition from sale to delivery.

Systems, Knowledge Management & AI Enablement

Build and maintain scalable presales assets, including demo environments, solution templates, reusable content libraries, case studies, and knowledge management systems.

Develop and document presales processes, qualification frameworks, workflows, and best practices that improve consistency and operational efficiency.

Identify, evaluate, and implement AI-enabled tools that streamline discovery, solutioning, demo preparation, and response development, and reduce sales cycle time.

Enablement & Coaching

Coach Sales and presales contributors on discovery techniques, value-based selling, solution storytelling, and executive-level communication.

Develop training materials and enablement resources on Cloud for Good offerings and Salesforce solutions that improve presales consistency and accelerate onboarding.

Strategy & Continuous Improvement

Establish metrics and reporting that measure presales effectiveness, including win rates, deal velocity, solution quality, and overall business impact.

Analyze pipeline performance, win/loss trends, client feedback, and competitive positioning to identify opportunities for improvement.

Recommend improvements to offerings, packaging, and presales processes that increase win rates, reduce rework, and improve cross-functional collaboration.

Key Skills
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
-
8+ years of experience in presales, solution consulting, or solution engineering within professional services, consulting, technology, or Salesforce ecosystems.

Demonstrated success leading complex sales pursuits, including discovery, solution design, demonstrations, and RFP, RFI, RFQ, and public sector procurement responses.

Strong understanding of Salesforce products and platform capabilities, consultative selling methodologies, procurement processes, and competitive positioning.

Exceptional presentation, storytelling, writing, and executive communication skills, with the ability to engage both business and technical audiences.

Experience scoping and estimating implementation projects and building presales assets such as demo environments, solution templates, and reusable content libraries.

Experience leveraging AI tools and automation technologies to improve presales efficiency and solution quality.

Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive consensus across Sales, Marketing, Services, Delivery, and executive leadership.

Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex pursuits simultaneously.

Salesforce certifications and experience with Salesforce consulting organizations strongly preferred.

Experience supporting Public Sector, Nonprofit, Higher Education, or other regulated procurement environments is highly desirable.
