About this role
Part-time teacher-clinician faculty position in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, San Francisco campus. The department seeks to fill 0.5 to 2 days per week across 40 weeks per year to educate predoctoral students in pediatric dentistry and to oversee the DAU program in conjunction with clinic activities. The role includes involvement in community outreach and collaboration with SCOPE and other departments.

DDS/DMD or international equivalent; degree from ADA-accredited school of dentistry preferred Certificate or Master’s degree indicating successful completion of an ADA-accredited specialty training program in pediatric dentistry (required) Current, active license to practice dentistry; valid CPR certification Current knowledge of the AAPD Pediatric Dentistry Reference Manual Demonstrated motor skills to perform diagnostic and operative procedures; ability to operate dental handpieces and instrumentation; ability to transfer and position patients Ability to perform basic life support (CPR) and position patients with disabilities; ability to work in a standing/sitting position for extended periods The position supports a teacher-clinician track; emphasis on teaching with opportunities for scholarship and service
Strong clinical skills and interest in pediatric dentistry; dedication to community outreach and interdepartmental teaching Comfort with interdisciplinary education and collaboration Familiarity with the DAU program and outreach activities
Hiring range: $65 per hour Part-time, 0.5 to 2 days per week, 40 weeks per year
