Job title: Power Platform Support Engineer
About the Role Power Platform support engineer role focused on delivering end-to-end support for Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate (cloud flows and Desktop RPA), and Power Virtual Agents. The role involves incident troubleshooting, provisioning requests, bot and environment governance, Dataverse administration, and ongoing support for end users. It also includes maintaining the COE dashboard for governance oversight and working within a dedicated two-engineer team.
What You'll Do
- Incident Troubleshooting – Quickly diagnose and resolve issues when apps, flows, RPA bots, or chatbots break or encounter errors.
- Provisioning Requests – Handle ~10 environment/app provisioning and access management requests per month (e.g., adding users to Dataverse or environments).
- Incidents – Monitor and resolve ~18 incidents per month (noted as increasing).
- Bot Management – Oversee ~15 Power Automate Desktop RPA bots on virtual desktops, ensuring reliability (scheduling, runtime issues, etc.).
- Environment & Policy Management – Administer Power Platform environments and enforce governance policies (monitor usage, maintain DLP policies), including upkeep of the Center of Excellence (COE) Dashboard.
- Dataverse Administration – Manage Dataverse capacity, provisioning of new instances, and user access controls.
- Virtual Agents Support – Maintain and support Power Virtual Agents chatbots (monitor health, publish updates, troubleshoot chatbot issues).
- User Support & Recommendations – Serve as the dedicated point of contact for Power Platform queries, provide best-practice guidance, and escalate to Microsoft Support as needed.
- Minor Enhancements – Implement small configuration changes or improvements; limited building of new simple apps/flows/bots.
- Service Requests Support Model – Covered by two dedicated Power Platform support engineers; aligned SLAs and exclusive focus on Power Platform.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: 5-8 years with Microsoft Power Platform for M365.
- Mandatory skills: strong expertise in Power Apps, Power Automate (cloud flows and Desktop), Power Virtual Agents, Dataverse, and governance.
- Ability to diagnose and fix incidents quickly; hands-on provisioning and access management.
- Experience administering environments, data loss prevention policies, and COE dashboards.
- Excellent communication, customer-centric approach, and collaborative problem-solving.
- Comfortable operating in a two-engineer dedicated team focused on Power Platform support.
Compensation & Benefits
- The expected compensation ranges from USD 60,000 to USD 148,500 per year; final compensation depends on location, skills, and experience.
