The postdoctoral researcher will support the research activities of Dr. César Vargas Rosales' group, whose work focuses on telecommunications, signal processing, cybersecurity, intelligent algorithms, and quantum technologies. The successful candidate will be expected to execute research projects, publish scientific articles in high-impact indexed journals, and contribute to the visibility and dissemination of the group's research activities and events. In addition, the researcher will support undergraduate and graduate students, as well as faculty members and specialists. The position also involves participation in funding calls and grant proposal development to secure research resources. Your main challenges will be: Lead the development of a specific research project on Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) based on Agentic AI, Reinforcement Learning (RL), and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) for the protection of smart grids and their communication infrastructures.Support the training and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students. Contribute to other research projects requiring their expertise and technical skills.
