About the Role The Haq lab at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to study mechanisms of metastasis and dormancy in uveal melanoma. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary basic science and translational team and contribute to papers based on findings already gathered within the group.
What You'll Do
- Demonstrate advanced technical proficiency, scientific creativity, and operate with a high degree of independence.
- Analyze experimental data, write reports and summaries, and participate in grant applications and manuscript preparation as required.
- Maintain detailed notebooks and stay current with relevant literature; train and oversee the lab work of research technicians; participate in development or modification of standard operating procedures; and may monitor laboratory budgets.
What We're Looking For
- MD and/or PhD in biology, chemistry, medicine, or related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with a wide range of faculty and staff.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; attention to detail; ability to work in a team environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with CRISPR-based functional tools is common in the lab, but not required for consideration.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: USD 72,000 - USD 76,385 per year.
