About this role
Postdoctoral Associate position in Dr. Jennifer Trowbridge's laboratory at The Jackson Laboratory in Bar Harbor, Maine. The successful candidate will plan, develop, execute, and analyze independent research within one or more of the lab's focus areas, and contribute to manuscript preparation, fellowship applications, conference presentations, and mentoring of junior lab members in a highly collaborative environment.
Plan, develop, execute, and analyze independent research projects within hematopoietic stem cell biology and related areas. Prepare manuscripts, fellowship applications, and conference presentations. Mentor junior lab members and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
M.D. or Ph.D. in biological or related sciences. Minimum of one first-author publication from graduate work. Strong foundational training in molecular and cell biology. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
Experience or training in hematopoiesis, stem cell biology, aging, or immunology. Epigenetics or chromatin biology. Mouse HSC biology-related experimental techniques. CRISPR-based approaches including gene editing in primary cells, sgRNA design, lentiviral delivery. Computational biology/bioinformatics.
Salary range: USD 65,589 – 75,569 per year, based on years of experience as a Postdoc. The Jackson Laboratory provides equal employment opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.
