About the Role Rutgers University is seeking Postdoctoral Associates across its health sciences schools to conduct advanced biomedical research. Under the direction of a Principal Investigator, the role involves highly specialized experimental work, often using animal models and molecular techniques, across departments such as cardiovascular disease, neurobiology, immunology, cancer biology, and nutrition. What You'll Do
- Conduct high-level research under PI supervision with emphasis on specialized experimental procedures.
- Design, perform, and interpret experiments using model systems (animal models, cell culture, imaging, molecular techniques).
- Analyze data, generate figures, and contribute to manuscripts and grant-related activities.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across Rutgers laboratories.
- Present findings at lab meetings and seminars; participate in dissemination of research results. What We're Looking For
- PhD in a relevant biomedical field.
- Strong background in one or more domains such as cardiovascular disease models, neuroscience/synaptic physiology, immunology, cancer biology, or nutrition.
- Experience designing and executing advanced experiments; data analysis; proficiency with imaging and molecular techniques; ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; track record of scientific publications. Nice to Have
- Experience with animal models and live imaging.
- background in molecular pathogenesis, metabolism, and/or epigenetics.
