About the Role Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Pharmacology, Physiology & Neuroscience within the New Jersey Medical School. Under the guidance of the Principal Investigator (PI), the Postdoctoral Associate conducts research on the function of connexin channels and calcium-activated potassium channels in endothelial cells or heterologous systems.
What You'll Do
- Conduct experiments to study the function of connexin channels and calcium-activated potassium channels in endothelial cells or heterologous systems under PI guidance.
- Analyze data and contribute to manuscript preparation and presentations.
What We're Looking For
- PhD in pharmacology, physiology, neuroscience, or a related field, or equivalent research experience.
- Experience with ion channels, endothelial cell models, and basic electrophysiology or related techniques.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Nice to Have
- Experience with connexin channels, calcium-activated potassium channels, and heterologous expression systems.
- Proficiency with electrophysiology, calcium imaging, or molecular biology techniques.
