Position: Post-Doctoral Research Fellow – R&D

Location: Mumbai or Bangalore

Duration: 12 months (extendable up to 18 months based on project needs)

Stipend: ₹90,000 per month

About the Program:

The Unilever Post-Doctoral Fellowship Program offers an immersive, structured research opportunity for early-career researchers to work on high-impact, applied research challenges within Unilever R&D. The program is designed to bridge academic excellence with real-world FMCG innovation, enabling fellows to contribute directly to Unilever’s science and innovation roadmap.

Fellows will work on cutting-edge research problems, translating scientific concepts into scalable, consumer-relevant solutions, while gaining deep exposure to industrial R&D practices.

Eligibility Criteria:

• PhD in Science/Engineering from Indian or global institutes
• PhD completed within the last 3 years
• Post-doctoral experience: 0–3 years maximum

• Chemistry (Organic/Synthetic/ Physical Chemistry/Chemistry)
• Pharma
• Microbiology/Cell Biology/Neurobiology

• Computational Chemistry
• Graphic Design
• Data Analytics, Data Science, AI/ML, Molecular Modelling
• Areas of research: Across nutrition science, color cosmetics, role of skin microbiome diversity, correlation of microbial signatures with skin properties, AI polymer discovery, Suspension & Deposition, Process design for solid cleaning products. Crosstalk between skin cells and sensory neurons, Predictive modelling, Development of AI applications for Computational Biology/Molecular Modelling, and more.
