Polysomnographic Technologist PRN

Corewell Health is hiring a Polysomnographic Technologist PRN (trainee role) for its Niles/St Joseph, MI sleep lab, shift 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., variable days and weekends.

In this trainee role, the technologist provides physicians and patients with the support needed to facilitate diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders and promotion of good sleep. Under the mentorship of a registered technologist, essential functions include performing diagnostic sleep testing (order interpretation, medication administration, patient hook-up and monitoring, BLS responsibilities, CPAP initiation and titration, oxygen administration, and related duties), documenting findings and patient responses per documentation guidelines, and reporting equipment problems to the appropriate personnel.
