About the Role The contractor (Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP) has published a Pay Transparency Policy Statement outlining how pay information should be handled within the firm. It describes rights to inquire about pay and the confidentiality expectations for employees who have access to compensation data, and the circumstances under which disclosure is allowed or restricted.
What You'll Do
- Maintain confidentiality of pay information and avoid unauthorized or improper disclosures.
- Access pay information only when there is a business reason and do so using prudent judgment.
- Do not disclose or discuss pay information with individuals who do not have authorized access, unless the disclosure is in response to a formal complaint or investigation or otherwise required by law or duty.
- Take practicable steps to preserve and protect confidentiality; resolve doubts in favor of confidentiality; and comply with Firm policies across departments (HR, IT, Finance & Accounting).
- Accept that violations may lead to disciplinary action, up to termination.
What We're Looking For
- Understanding that employees with access to confidential pay information must exercise good judgment and avoid unauthorized disclosures.
- Willingness to comply with the policy and applicable laws and to perform duties consistent with business needs.
- Awareness that access to pay information without a business reason is prohibited.
- Acceptance that violations may result in disciplinary action.
