Job title: Podiatry APN
About the Role Join Endeavor Health as a Podiatry APN within the Orthopaedic & Spine Institute. This role will manage inpatient and outpatient podiatry patients, evaluating new and existing cases as well as post-operative visits, in collaboration with the treating physicians to drive optimal patient outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Provide care under the direction of collaborating physician(s); obtain detailed history and perform physical examinations, order imaging, lab tests and diagnostic procedures and interpret results.
- Instruct patients on prescribed therapeutic regimens and pre/post operative instructions; maintain records and write progress notes on status, treatments and procedures.
- Follow patients through their course of treatment in clinic and hospital settings; collaborate with physicians and the health care team to achieve optimal outcomes; prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies as appropriate; demonstrate evidence-based practice.
- Participate in development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of practice; assess learning needs of patients and families; employ strategies, interventions and teaching to promote health.
- Work autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams as a resource and consultant; contribute to safety outcomes and a high-quality patient experience; participate in service line goals and support the organization’s strategic plan; adhere to Endeavor Health policies.
What We're Looking For
- Illinois APRN licensure required; Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substances License required.
- Master’s degree in nursing (APRN); BLS/CPR certification required.
- Experience in orthopedics or podiatry preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage a high-volume and complex clinic schedule.
- Ability to work across inpatient and outpatient settings and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.
Nice to Have
- Prior orthopedic or podiatry clinic experience (preferred).
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $57.69 - $75.77 hourly
