Job title: PLC & Vision System Advanced Engineer
About the Role Autoliv's Vision System and PLC Engineer role is a technical expert position focused on developing and optimizing automation, vision, and X-ray systems to ensure process performance, reliability, and integration of innovations to reduce scrap and improve quality.
What You'll Do
- Develop PLC and Vision programs to improve performance and support new projects.
- Manage suppliers for the integration of new solutions.
- Implement innovations to optimize performance.
- Control and ensure process parameters, automation, vision, and repeatability.
- Create and optimize parameters to strengthen robustness and reduce scrap.
- Eliminate causes of non-quality and ensure reliable controls.
- Manage and participate in the creation and evolution of PFMEA.
- Ensure documentation compliance during improvements.
- Support industrial projects (TG3 start-up, continuous improvement).
- Ensure process efficiency and standardization.
- Master specific parameters related to the activity.
- Propose and implement improvements.
- Ensure compliance of documents related to processes and projects.
What We're Looking For
- Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, continuous improvement experience.
- Expertise in PLC and Vision Systems.
- Degree: Engineer in automation and industrial computing.
- Languages: English required; French minimum B1.
- Dynamic, rigorous, proactive; disciplined and respectful of standards.
- Analytical mindset with ability to set priorities; autonomy and proposal-making ability.
- Automation skills: Siemens PLC (S7-300, S7-1200, S7-1500), STEP 7 / TIA Portal; HMI WinCC.
- Vision skills: Cognex In-Sight Explorer; Keyence IV-Navigator / XG-X Vision Editor.
- Industrial IT: PROFInet, PROFIBUS, EtherNet/IP.
