Platform Support Site Reliability Engineer

About the Role Platform Support Site Reliability Engineer at PlayStation Network helps build and maintain the shared infrastructure—network, authentication, monitoring—that software teams rely on. You will partner with application development, platform, and operations teams to deliver a safe, scalable, and easy-to-use platform, while driving automation, onboarding improvements, and operational efficiency across the org.

What You'll Do

• Manage and operate network settings, DNS, CDN, traffic management, access management, and certificate management to support PSN services.
• Oversee observability tooling, provisioning of access, and security-related operational processes.
• Provide technical investigation and resolution support for internal engineering teams using the shared platform; design trusted, reliable solutions with internal stakeholders.
• Lead deployments, operational processes, monitoring, and support workflows with automation; contribute to IaC, service standardization, and operational best practices.
• Collaborate with global US and international teams on technology selection, adoption, and process improvements.

What We're Looking For

• Experience building, deploying, and operating services in public cloud environments; either role is acceptable.
• Large-scale service network and traffic management configuration/operation experience.
• Troubleshooting across systems, infrastructure, networks, and applications; incident handling in production.
• Understanding of information security principles, controls, and operational security best practices.
• Production environment support experience focused on reliability, availability, and operability.
• Business-level Japanese communication and ability to collaborate with global teams in English; strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal engineers and cross-functional partners.
• Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with strong problem-analysis and solution evaluation skills; able to communicate proposals and concerns clearly and respectfully; able to adapt to changing priorities.

Nice to Have

• Observability platforms, monitoring solutions, and APM tool experience.
• Infrastructure as Code design/implementation using Terraform, CloudFormation.
• Software development or automation experience using Python, Go, JavaScript or similar languages.
• Automation, workflow improvement, and process optimization to boost operational efficiency; scripting and internal tool development to reduce manual tasks.
• Experience operating large distributed systems; cloud networking, DNS, throughput, authentication/authorization, certificate and config management.
• Knowledge of regulatory/compliance requirements affecting service operations; active contributions to tech communities or OSS projects are a plus.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
