About the Role Join Cloudinary’s PLATFORM / IMAGE team to build and scale Generative AI-powered image APIs. This role focuses on generating, storing, optimizing, and delivering AI-created images from a single platform, with access to leading AI models via a Cloudinary API.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain image generation APIs powered by AI models within Cloudinary's platform.
• Generate, store, optimize, and deliver AI-created images from a single platform via Cloudinary APIs.
• Implement automated image processing workflows: automatic formatting, responsive images, AI-based auto cropping, and multi-CDN delivery.
• Develop dynamic transformations: resizing, enhancement, background removal or replacement, upscaling, and overlays to preserve brand consistency.
• Create tools to repurpose assets for campaigns and scale transformations across thousands of images.
• Build dynamic product configuration capabilities by combining transformations and overlays programmatically.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure performance, reliability, and scalable delivery across devices, languages, and regions.

What We're Looking For

• Experience building scalable APIs for image processing, preferably with AI-powered features.
• Strong knowledge of image processing, computer vision, and AI model integration.
• Experience with cloud platforms, API design, and real-time image optimization for Core Web Vitals.
• Familiarity with CDNs, responsive images, device/language/region personalization, and maintaining brand identity.
• Problem-solving mindset, collaboration, and ability to ship production-ready features.

Nice to Have

• Experience with background replacement, recoloring, generative fill, or restoration/enhance.
• Experience with Cloudinary (or similar image/media platforms).
• Familiarity with building dynamic product configurators and overlays.
