Job title: Platform Capabilities Engineer
About the Role Join DBT Labs to help shape a unified platform for data movement, including platform capabilities, transformations, security, governance, and extensibility. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and customer teams to translate platform capabilities into enabling experiences for data teams.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with product and engineering to define and deliver platform capabilities across transformations, security, governance, extensibility, and deployments.
- Build and refine connectors, activations, and deployment patterns to move warehouse data to business tools and downstream systems.
- Partner with customers and partners to ensure scalable, secure data movement and integrated workflows at scale.
- Support hybrid deployment strategies and optimize performance without compromising security or governance.
What We're Looking For
- Experience with data platforms, data movement, and integrations across SaaS, databases, files, and streaming.
- Familiarity with data replication patterns (SaaS, database, SAP, streaming, file) and data infrastructure modernization.
- Ability to collaborate across product, engineering, security, and customer-facing teams; strong written and verbal communication.
- Comfort working in a cloud-first environment and with governance/compliance considerations.
Nice to Have
- Experience with ecosystem partners and connectors (AWS, Databricks, Google BigQuery, Microsoft Azure, Snowflake).
- Exposure to AI data workflows and governance practices.
