About the Role

Own the persistent backend service layer connecting compiler, model, deployment, and power-control capabilities into secure, reliable, and scalable customer-facing workflows. The role focuses on APIs, orchestration, deployment, validation, and platform integrations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and own backend services powering the One-Click customer workflow.
  • Develop APIs, job orchestration, queues, artefact management, deployment, validation, and result handling.
  • Integrate the platform with SteadGrid for authenticated node-control requests, real-time state, audit, and telemetry.
  • Implement role-based access control, tenant isolation, audit logging, and traceability.
  • Build reliability features including idempotency, retries, timeouts, and failure handling.
  • Develop operational dashboards, support tools, documentation, testing, and observability.
  • Support post-launch incident resolution and workflow improvements.
  • Collaborate with the CTO/Software Lead, Principal Compiler Architect, and Hardware Platform Architect.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of backend/platform engineering experience.
  • Strong production experience with Python, Go, TypeScript, or Java.
  • Experience building APIs, asynchronous job orchestration, queues, and database-backed services.
  • Experience with containerised services, CI/CD, and production observability.
  • Strong Linux and infrastructure integration experience.
  • Familiarity with Redfish, BMC, and/or device-management APIs.
  • Experience designing secure, multi-tenant platforms.
  • Strong understanding of reliability, security, and production operations.
  • Excellent ownership and documentation skills.
  • Ability to rapidly absorb and operationalise knowledge from technical teams.
  • C/C++ or Rust experience is an advantage where strong backend/platform capability is demonstrated.

Role Details:

  • Target Start Date: 15 October 2026
  • Probation: Six months recommended
  • Reporting: CTO / Designated Software Lead
  • Successful delivery of accepted objectives may be linked to launch bonus and/or confirmation considerations.
