Job title: Plater
About the Role The Plater Operator works under the Plating Supervisor to plate rolls to meet customer requirements, assist in training new Plating Helpers, and ensure proper containment of hazardous waste. This role is based in Chesterton, IN and supports ANDRITZ's metals processing operations.
What You'll Do
- Prepare rolls for chrome plating
- Set plating controls and monitor plating tank temperature and solution levels
- Inspect rolls for defects before and after plating
- Perform testing for surface texture and chrome thickness on rolls
- Fill out paperwork completely
- Perform crane inspection
- Maintain housekeeping of area
- Able to work overtime when required
What We're Looking For
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to understand and follow instructions quickly and accurately
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision

Nice to Have
- Crane Safety training, Hazardous Communication training, and ISO Quality System training preferred
