Job title: Plant Operator - Catalyst Production
About the Role Join Clariant's Toyama plant as a Plant Operator responsible for feeding raw materials, catalyst formation, monitoring reactor operations, and maintaining plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient catalyst production.
What You'll Do
- Raw material feeding and catalyst formation on large-scale equipment to initiate chemical reactions and produce catalysts.
- Monitor reactor conditions using plant monitoring displays; adjust operating parameters as needed to maintain product quality and safe operation.
- Perform equipment maintenance, inspections, and routine round checks on plant facilities to ensure reliability and compliance.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; Japanese language proficiency required (native or equivalent).
- No strict prior experience required; training will be provided after joining.
- Experience in chemical plants and three-shift operations is welcomed but not required.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with three-shift operation in a chemical plant would be advantageous.
- Willingness to relocate within Japan and participate in on-the-job training for required qualifications (e.g., forklift, cranes) provided by the company.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary determined according to experience and skills per company guidelines; biannual base and performance bonuses.
- Working hours: variable shift system (1-year) with schedules: 7:45-16:00; 15:45-00:00; 23:45-08:00.
- Annual holidays: 105 days (6 days on, 2 days off pattern; plus year-end/New Year holidays).
- Paid leave: average 20 days used per year (based on previous year).
