About the Role The Plant Manager is responsible for the full operational, financial, and people management of the Ready-Mix batching plants (Stilfontein, Potch & Others). This includes ensuring efficient production, strict quality control, cost management, plant reliability, and customer service delivery. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, ensure compliance with SANS standards, and lead a high-performing team to meet production and business targets. What You'll Do
- Oversee operations of multiple Ready-Mix batching plants (Stilfontein, Potchefstroom and other sites)
- Drive efficient production, quality control, cost management, plant reliability, and customer service delivery
- Ensure compliance with SANS standards and quality systems
- Lead and develop a high-performing team; implement operational excellence initiatives
- Manage production planning, logistics, and performance against targets
- Monitor financials and plant KPIs What We're Looking For
- Grade 12 (Matric) – essential
- Technical qualification in Concrete Technology, Engineering, or Production; Certificate in Concrete Technology (advantageous); relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous)
- 3–5 years’ experience in a Ready-Mix plant, batching plant, or production environment
- Proven experience managing plant operations, production, and logistics
- Strong technical knowledge of: concrete batching processes, mix design and moisture correction, quality control and testing procedures
- Experience working within SANS standards and quality systems
- Proven leadership and people management experience
- Experience on Acumatica ERP System (advantage)
- Experience with Batching Software (CE, Batchman, Command Alkon) Nice to Have
- Additional leadership certifications or relevant management training
