About the Role The Plant Buyer role is a full-time position with Johnson Controls based in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. It sits within the Supply Chain & Procurement organization and focuses on procuring materials and services for the plant to support production needs. This role collaborates with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and optimal cost. What You'll Do
- Procure materials and components required for plant production
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and quality
- Manage supplier performance and relationships, including cost and risk management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as planning, manufacturing, and quality to align demand and supply What We're Looking For
- Experience in procurement or purchasing in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Knowledge of supplier management, contracting, and cost optimization
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in procurement systems and data analysis; knowledge of ERP Nice to Have
- Experience with Johnson Controls or similar manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, or related field
