About this role

Job title: Planning Specialist

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your supply chain and industrial operations expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.

You'll play a key role in managing the balance between demand and resources to ensure customer satisfaction in terms of quality, cost, and delivery, while optimizing site resources like people, machines, and cash. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Project Planning, Finance, and Human Resources), contribute to planning instances and monthly reporting, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of building and updating the Master Production Schedule and analyzing bottlenecks, but also ensuring adherence to production plans and addressing root causes of delays.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Applying Industrial Planning Golden Rules and EHS standards in workshops
  • Consolidating and analyzing demand forecasts
  • Collaborating with Materials Planners to ensure accurate master data maintenance
  • Building industrial planning for opportunities and analyzing site capacity
  • Monitoring production plan adherence and proposing recovery scenarios
  • Updating industrial planning tools and preparing communication packs for stakeholders

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Operations, or a related field (NQF 7)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, with at least 3 years in planning
  • Hands-on experience in an industrial environment
  • Knowledge of end-to-end industrial planning processes and their impact on procurement and manufacturing
  • Advanced working proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
  • Agile, responsible, and inclusive mindset
  • Fluent in English with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to work day and night shifts as required
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites if needed
