About this role
Job title: PK/PD Principal Scientist
About the Role Zoetis seeks a PK/PD Principal Scientist to join the Veterinary Medicine Research and Development (VMRD) PK/PD Scientist Team to discover and develop novel therapeutics for veterinary medicine. The successful candidate will lead in vivo PK/PD studies across multiple species from early research through late-stage development, including study design, execution, analysis, and interpretation. The role requires a highly motivated, independent leader who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to translate PK/PD data into actionable project strategies.
What You'll Do
- Independently design and analyze in vivo PK/PD, PK and TK studies in multiple veterinary species, including writing study protocols and reports.
- Provide PK and PK/PD modeling and simulation to help select lead candidates and optimize dose regimens.
- Collaborate with the bioanalytical team to assess suitability of analytical assays and forecast analytical requirements for projects.
- Lead development of scientific strategy across therapeutic areas with a focus on mechanistic platforms/biomarkers to aid in translation, measurement of target engagement, and dose regimen predictions.
- Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to design and prosecute studies.
What We're Looking For
- Experience independently designing and analyzing in vivo PK/PD, PK, and TK studies in multiple veterinary species, including writing study protocols and reports.
- Proficiency in PK/PD modeling and simulation to inform lead selection and dose optimization.
- Ability to collaborate with bioanalytical teams to assess analytical assays and forecast analytical needs for projects.
- Track record of leading scientific strategy development across therapeutic areas with emphasis on mechanistic platforms/biomarkers, target engagement, and dose regimen predictions.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and to design and prosecute studies.
