We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Piping / Structural Design Checker

Location: Lagos

Employment Type: Contract

Job Purpose

To independently check engineering drawings and design deliverables for technical accuracy, compliance with project requirements, applicable codes and standards, and consistency with engineering design information.

Key Responsibilities

• Review piping or structural drawings prepared by designers.
• Verify dimensions, elevations, orientations, specifications and design details.
• Check drawings against P&IDs, engineering calculations, specifications and design criteria.
• Identify errors, omissions, clashes and inconsistencies.
• Review drawing revisions and ensure comments have been incorporated.
• Verify constructability and accessibility where applicable.
• Check interfaces between piping, structural, mechanical and other disciplines.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes, standards and client specifications.
• Participate in design review meetings.
• Provide technical comments and recommendations to designers and engineers.
• Support quality control of engineering design deliverables.

Requirements

• OND/HND/B.Sc./B.Tech. in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent technical qualification.
• Candidates must have at least 7 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Significant experience in piping or structural design.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience checking engineering drawings and design documents.
• Knowledge of applicable oil & gas engineering standards and specifications.
• Proficiency with relevant CAD/design software.
