Job title: Pipe Fitter
About the Role Saipem seeks a Pipe Fitter to perform pipe fitting activities worldwide, following Foreman instructions while upholding safety and quality standards. This role requires extensive hands-on experience and the ability to coordinate with adjacent works across potentially offshore/onshore sites.
What You'll Do
- Perform pipe fitting activities in accordance with safety and quality requirements
- Follow daily instructions given by Foreman
- Perform pipe cutting, beveling and fitting activities, piping prefabrication, installation and assembly
- Ensure pipe fitting activities are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications
- Verify equipment, tools and materials are in good and safe operating condition and report anomalies to the superior
- Ensure coordination with the adjacent works to minimize coactivities and eliminate unsafe conditions
- Follow the permit-to-work statement
- Maintain housekeeping of the work location
What We're Looking For
- Education: Master’s or bachelor’s degree; English language skills required
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the position
- Welding experience: 3-5+ years; knowledge of Manual SMAW/FCAW welding process
- Knowledge of cutting and trimming (cold and hot cutting); oxyacetylene cutting and plasma cutting
- Knowledge of milling, turning/lathe machine operation; drilling
- Experience with Isometric designs, bevel designs, fittings torquering; steel fabrication and erection
- Lifting and rigging operations; installation and assembly
- Materials experience: carbon steel flowlines, clad Inconel 625/825, stainless steels 314L/316L
- Pipeline scope experience onshore and offshore; heavy fabrication yards, refinery, power plant experience
- Shipyards/offshore jacket installation, wind farm installation experience; deck, conductors, piling, boat landing installation
