About the Role Mercor is seeking Physics PhD’s (Graduated) for a premier project with one of the world's top AI labs. In this role, you will contribute your subject matter expertise to a cutting-edge project involving state-of-the-art large language models. Specifically, you will help create high-quality data that will inform the future of AI innovation by coming up with difficult problems in your domain.
What You'll Do
- Contribute 4-6 tasks per week, each taking several hours, by designing and solving difficult physics problems to generate high-quality data for AI models.
- Apply rigorous physics knowledge and follow complex instructions to ensure data quality and relevance.
- Work as an independent contractor on a fully remote basis with a flexible schedule; projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early based on needs and performance.
- Coordinate with AI lab teams; payments handled weekly via Stripe or Wise.
What We're Looking For
- Undergraduate degree from a US/UK/Canada/Western Europe institution (as applicable).
- Graduate degree from a top US/UK/Canada/Western European university.
- High attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in English.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay: USD 70 - 90 per hour.
- Fully remote independent contractor role; weekly payments via Stripe or Wise.
- Projects may be adjusted based on needs and performance. Mercor does not require access to confidential information from employers or clients.
