Job title: Physics Instructor (Part-Time)
About the Role Teach Physics lectures and/or laboratory courses on McKendree University's campus for the fall semester. The ideal candidate will have a positive record of teaching Physics. Courses are scheduled late afternoon or evening on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
What You'll Do
- Teach Physics lecture and/or laboratory courses on campus for the fall semester.
- Maintain a positive record of teaching Physics and contribute to student learning in a liberal arts setting.
What We're Looking For
- Required Qualifications: Master’s degree in Physics or a graduate degree in a related field with 18 graduate hours in Physics or related field.
Nice to Have
- In-person teaching experience at the college level is strongly preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- Regular pay rate: $2,145.00 for each 3-hour course, per semester. Higher rates may apply for larger course enrollments, labs, or other duties.
- Online/remote teaching opportunities may exist dependent on the needs of the course. Applicants interested in online/remote opportunities must reside in IL, CA, FL, TN, KY.
- Part-time employees are not eligible for benefits. Part-time employees who work an average of 20 hours per week may be eligible for our deferred compensation plan.
