What You'll Do
- Provide direct patient care and support to a multidisciplinary health team within the scope of a Physician Assistant (PA).
- Serve as a clinical expert through patient education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and consultation, while maintaining program excellence and professional growth.
- Develop and foster strong provider relationships.
- Commit to cost-effective care management, optimizing resource utilization, and enhancing patient experiences through continuous process improvement.
- Provide direct patient care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality, evidence-based outcomes.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Master of Science in Physician Assistant (MSPA) or Doctor of Physician Assistant (PA) and completion of an accredited program (if hired after July 1, 2023).
- Licensure/Certification: Active and unrestricted CA PA licensure; current board certification or board eligibility; National Provider Identifier (NPI); Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Experience: Preferred PA experience in surgical services across a broad spectrum functioning as a First Assistant.
- Ages of Patients: Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric.
- Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Ability to autonomously assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans; collaborate with multidisciplinary team; work in high-volume settings; maintain confidentiality; problem solve independently; provide excellent customer service; strong communication; knowledge of anatomy and physiology; knowledge of evidence-based practice, guidelines, and regulations.
Nice to Have
- PA experience in surgical services as a First Assistant (preferred).
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $88.00 per hour (Per Diem, Part-time).
