About the Role The Physician Assistant (PA) is a licensed healthcare provider who practices in collaboration with, and under the direction of, the supervising ophthalmologist. The PA will provide office-based clinical care, diagnostic support, therapeutic treatment, preventive services, and post-operative surgical care within the patient care parameters established by the supervising physician. What You'll Do
- Provide office-based clinical care and diagnostic support under the supervision of the supervising ophthalmologist.
- Perform ophthalmic exams and postoperative assessments.
- Assist in ophthalmic surgeries.
- Provide preventive care and post-operative surgical care within established patient care parameters.
- Document patient care in the electronic health record (EHR). What We're Looking For
- PA degree and licensure eligibility in North Carolina and Virginia.
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Ability to perform postoperative ophthalmic exams.
- Ability to prescribe under supervision.
- Proficiency in documenting in an electronic health record (EHR).
