Job title: Physical Therapy Assistant
About the Role Logan Health Chester is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis in a rural healthcare setting. You will work under the direction of licensed Physical Therapists to provide individualized therapy services across inpatient, outpatient, swing bed, and long-term care settings, helping patients regain mobility and independence.
What You'll Do
- Provide 1:1 therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist in carrying out individualized treatment plans for patients in a variety of care settings
- Support patients across the lifespan with rehabilitation needs related to orthopedic conditions, neurological events, post-surgical recovery, balance deficits, mobility limitations, and more
- Help patients improve strength, endurance, mobility, gait, and functional independence
- Accurately document treatments and patient progress in the appropriate medical record systems
- Communicate effectively with therapists, providers, nursing staff, and leadership to support coordinated patient care
- Adapt to changing patient needs and daily workflow while maintaining a calm, professional, and patient-centered approach
What We're Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program
- Current Montana Physical Therapy Assistant license or ability to obtain
- Current CPR certification (BLS or HS AED CPR)
- Minimum one (1) year of Physical Therapy Assistant experience in inpatient and outpatient settings preferred
- Strong clinical skills in mobility, gait training, therapeutic exercise, and functional support
- Experience with modalities such as E-Stim, Ultrasound, and Diathermy preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with electronic medical record systems
