Job title: Physical Therapist (Outpatient)
About the Role
The Physical Therapist (Outpatient) will provide a full range of outpatient PT services at Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center, Nellis AFB, Nevada, in support of the Defense Health Agency Medical Q-Coded Support and Services. The role involves patient evaluation, development of treatment programs, therapeutic interventions, and coordination with physicians and the healthcare team.
What You'll Do

Provide a full range of outpatient physical therapy services within the scope of clinical privileges granted by the Military Treatment Facility.

Evaluate patients and develop written treatment plans based on condition, referral, and functional needs; administer manual exercises and therapeutic interventions.

Instruct and assist patients in functional activities, ADLs, and use of assistive devices (crutches, canes, braces, prostheses, etc.).

Administer soft tissue mobilization and traction per protocols; provide related therapeutic procedures.

Document treatment, patient response, and progress in patient charts/EMR within required timeframes (including within 72 hours of visit).

Coordinate care with physicians and other healthcare staff; communicate concerns to referring providers as required.

Perform prevention and wellness activities, patient education, screening, and promotion of positive health behaviors.

Maintain clinical competency, licensure, required certifications, and credentialing documentation; comply with DHA and HIPAA regulations.

Proficiency with electronic medical records, automated documentation systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Support patient safety, continuity of care, and mission requirements of the outpatient clinic.

What We're Looking For

Licensed Physical Therapist with current licensure; ability to obtain/maintain DHA credentialing as required.

Experience providing outpatient PT services; ability to develop and implement treatment programs; strong documentation skills.

Ability to coordinate care with physicians and healthcare staff; strong communication and teamwork.

Proficiency in EMR, documentation systems, and Microsoft Office.

Ability to work varied shifts and on-call as required; on-call hours/coverage may be needed.

Knowledge of HIPAA and relevant regulations; commitment to patient safety and quality of care.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $116,000 per year (exempt).

Work schedule may vary (10-hour shifts Mon-Thu 0600-1800 or 8-hour days Mon-Fri 0600-1800); on-call coverage and overage hours may be required.
