Job title: Physical Therapist I Outpatient
About the Role The Physical Therapist I Outpatient provides patient evaluation and treatment according to established policies and procedures for their discipline to patients of all ages and populations. They work within an outpatient setting to evaluate, plan, implement, and re-evaluate treatment, and to document care in accordance with department standards.
What You'll Do
- Performs patient evaluations.
- Develops and implements treatment plans in accordance with licensure, scope of practice, and department standards.
- Re-evaluates patients according to department standards; develops, re-assesses, and updates goals for all patient episodes of care.
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the impact of disability on an individual's physical, emotional, social, economic, and vocational status.
- Documentation is compliant with HIMS/QA standards and meets all customer and medico-legal needs.
- Maintains productivity to support patient access and clinic needs.
- Manages all insurance and charging requirements.
- Advocates for and contributes to the development of team members.
- Takes responsibility for individual performance goals.
- Completes hospital and departmental requirements including timely documentation, payroll/workday requirements, review of meeting minutes, clinical competencies, performance review self-assessment, peer feedback, and compliance training.
- Participates in hospital/department initiatives and projects (e.g., student supervision, community education, program development, in-services).
- Delivers a high-quality patient experience as reflected in patient satisfaction scores.
What We're Looking For
- Education: graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Certification, Registration & Licensure: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification or equivalent; current NH license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
- Experience: experience working with a multidisciplinary team; knowledge of growth and development across a diverse age and multicultural population.
