Job title: Physical Therapist
About the Role The Physical Therapist provides prescribed PT treatment to facilitate rehabilitation and participates in initial evaluation, progress assessment, and discharge planning at Eisenhower Medical Center. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and ensure compliance with licensing and hospital policies.
What You'll Do
- Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and hospital policies; addresses questions or concerns and reports suspected violations.
- Performs evaluation and establishes age- and culturally appropriate treatment plans in alignment with licensing standards and the Physical Therapy Practice Act.
- Delivers effective therapy treatments and ensures safe discharge planning.
- Delegates patient treatment procedures and modalities as appropriate while maintaining supervision requirements.
- Maintains timely, legible patient care documentation and supports patient flow with available resources.
- Ensures equipment, supplies, and treatment areas are maintained and ready for patient care.
- Provides education and mentoring for student interns; participates in department programs and interdisciplinary communication to maximize outcomes.
- Communicates positively and timely with patients, co-workers, supervisors, physicians, and other departments.
- Maintains productivity in line with department standards.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Required Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy; Preferred Master’s or Doctorate in PT.
- Licensure/Certification: Licensed by the Physical Therapy Board of the State of California; Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association.
- Experience: Preferred Physical therapy or healthcare experience.
- Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals; prioritization and time management; basic PT skills; knowledge of department modalities, programs, and age-appropriate care; strong written and verbal communication.
- Age Groups: Care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Nice to Have
- Master’s or Doctorate degree (preferred).
- Additional relevant certifications or clinical experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $55.00 per hour (hourly, per diem, part-time position).
- Location: Eisenhower Medical Center, Rancho Mirage, CA, USA.
- Schedule: Part-time, per diem, Day shift on-site.
