About the Role Marex is seeking a Physical Products Trader who is an experienced, strategic, diligent, ambitious, and proactive individual responsible for a portfolio of Petroleum products. This Senior to Intermediate level position offers autonomy and team collaboration with direct client engagement. Strong commercial ability to maintain client relationships and generate flow is key. Pinnacle Fuel LLC operates as the physical oil and petroleum trading division within Marex, leveraging Marex's global presence and resources.

What You'll Do

• Conduct thorough analysis of energy markets, supply and demand trends, geopolitical factors, and economic indicators to inform trading decisions.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate price fluctuations, credit risks, and operational uncertainties associated with trading activities.
• Execute trading strategies by buying and selling petroleum products, ensuring accurate and timely trade execution.
• Collaborate with logistics, transportation, and storage teams to optimize movement and storage of petroleum products, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
• Identify opportunities to maximize profits while managing costs, leveraging price differentials and arbitrage possibilities.
• Establish and nurture relationships with suppliers, customers, and industry peers to gather market insights, negotiate favorable terms, and ensure smooth transactions.
• Utilize data analytics, market modelling, and demand forecasting to predict market trends, develop trading strategies, and improve decision-making.
• Stay up to date with industry regulations and ensure that trading activities align with legal and compliance standards.
• Stay informed about industry dynamics, emerging technologies, and trading best practices to adapt strategies accordingly.
• Prepare regular reports on trading activities, performance metrics, and market analysis for internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges.
• Adhere to the operational risk framework and report breaches, escalate risk events, and contribute to risk management processes.
• Liaise with US-based clients including banks, hedge funds, market makers, fund managers, institutional traders and other trading houses.
• Adhere to Marex internal policies and report breaches to Compliance; escalate risk as required.
• The Company may require you to carry out other duties from time to time.
