About this role
About the Role Phlebotomist I at Endeavor Health will perform routine and special phlebotomy procedures and support laboratory workflow across the Swedish Hospital in Chicago and patient service centers throughout Cook and Lake counties. This onsite role involves traveling between sites as needed to collect specimens and ensure timely lab processing. What You'll Do
- Perform a variety of routine and special phlebotomy procedures as authorized by the Supervisor/Manager/Director
- Order tests into the Laboratory and Hospital computer systems and document receipt of specimens
- Collect patient specimens in accordance with test requirements and appropriate for the patient population served
- Collect blood samples for specific tests, ensuring adequate volume and correct tubes are utilized What We're Looking For
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent work experience
