Job title: Phlebotomist Clerical Support
About the Role The Phlebotomist Clerical Support role provides courteous patient blood collection and essential clerical support within the Laboratory. This position supports accurate specimen handling, documentation, and interdepartmental communication in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
What You'll Do
- Obtain blood specimens from patients of all ages in a courteous and professional manner.
- Support clerical duties and use HIS/LIS systems to document specimens and manage lab workflow.
- Operate standard office equipment and communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and perform duties with minimal supervision in all situations, including traumas.
- Demonstrate legible handwriting and maintain regular, punctual attendance.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
- Registered as a Certified Laboratory Phlebotomist with a national certification agency or show proof of pending recertification preferred.
- Working knowledge of HIS and LIS systems; experience with Vacutainer systems and phlebotomy equipment preferred.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently; may lift up to 40 pounds; frequent use of a personal computer; ability to communicate effectively in person or on the telephone.
- Must maintain confidentiality and demonstrate the ability to work interdepartmentally.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $19.85 - $29.46 per hour (USD).
