Job title: Pharmacy Technician II - Nights
About the Role Pharmacy Technician II - Nights supports the pharmacist in dispensing medications and maintaining pharmacy operations at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights. The role involves entering prescriptions, filing, inventory management, calling third party insurance providers, and assisting with day-to-day operations, with night shifts and rotating weekends/holidays.
What You'll Do
- Prepares, fills and labels medications for final dispensing authorization by the Pharmacists.
- Prepares the unit dose accurately according to the refill list, for Pharmacists final authorization and fill the automated medication station in timely manner.
- Conducts rounds to nursing units according to schedule and prepares medications for transportation rounds.
- Performs various pharmacy-related tasks to help maintain pharmacy efficiency and organization.
- Assist in maintenance of pharmacy inventory of supplies and medications, (RX and OTC).
What We're Looking For
- High School General Studies Required Or Diploma or Vocational Degree General Studies Required.
- Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPHT) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Current License Required.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Current CPhT Required.
- 1 Year technician trainee experience in a hospital environment preferred.
- Ability to work night shifts (9:00pm - 7:30am) with rotating weekends and holidays.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $19.62 - $30.41 per hour (USD).
