About the Role Pharmacy Technician I, Retail, Per Diem at Evanston Hospital supports pharmacy operations by assisting Pharmacists in medication preparation, dispensing, and patient care. This role ensures accurate medication handling and contributes to efficient, safe patient experiences within our hospital-based retail setting.
What You'll Do
- Assist the Pharmacist with preparing, filling and dispensing medications
- Maintain patient records, set up, package and label medication doses
- Maintain inventory of drug supplies
What We're Looking For
- License: Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician required
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred; must become certified by successfully passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) examination or another Board-approved pharmacy technician examination, within 2 years of initial licensure
- Experience: Prior technician experience or hospital experience preferred. Retail experience preferred for retail positions
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $19.62 - $30.41 per hour
