Werona Pharmacy and Supermarket is seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join their dedicated team.

In this crucial role, you will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, verifying prescriptions, and providing essential counselling to patients on safe and effective medication use. You will also play a key part in managing pharmacy inventory, ensuring proper storage conditions, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.

Your duties will include reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, monitoring for potential drug interactions, and maintaining meticulous documentation. You will also coordinate with suppliers to prevent stockouts and support medication safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Review prescriptions for accuracy and clinical appropriateness.
• Monitor for drug interactions and maintain proper documentation.
• Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medicines.
• Provide medication counselling and guidance to patients.
• Manage inventory and maintain accurate stock records.
• Ensure appropriate storage conditions, including cold chain products.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to prevent stockouts.
• Support medication safety and quality improvement activities.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff.
• Provide respectful and non-discriminatory patient interactions.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacist with a B.Pharm or Pharm.

• D.

• Strong community pharmacy skills, including prescription review and medication therapy management.

• Knowledge of drug indications, contraindications, and side effects.

• Experience with dispensing, patient counselling, and over-the-counter medication guidance.

• Ability to manage inventory and ensure appropriate storage conditions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Prior experience in a similar pharmacy setting in Nigeria is preferred.

• Proximity to Phase III, Kubwa is an added advantage.
