About this role
Section: About the Role The Pharmacist will dispense prescription and over-the-counter medicines, verify medication orders, counsel patients on safe medication use, manage inventory, ensure proper storage and cold chain compliance, and provide excellent customer service.
Section: Key Responsibilities
- Review prescriptions for accuracy and clinical appropriateness.
- Monitor for drug interactions and maintain proper documentation.
- Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medicines.
- Provide medication counselling and guidance to patients.
- Manage inventory and maintain accurate stock records.
- Ensure appropriate storage conditions, including cold chain products.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to prevent stockouts.
- Support medication safety and quality improvement activities.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff.
- Provide respectful and non-discriminatory patient interactions.
Section: Requirements
- Licensed Pharmacist with a B.Pharm or Pharm.D.
- Strong community pharmacy skills, including prescription review and medication therapy management.
- Knowledge of drug indications, contraindications, and side effects.
- Experience with dispensing, patient counselling, and over-the-counter medication guidance.
- Ability to manage inventory and ensure appropriate storage conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in a similar pharmacy setting in Nigeria is preferred.
- Proximity to Phase III, Kubwa is an added advantage.
Section: Work Schedule
- Resumption: 7:30 AM
- Closing: 9:30 PM
- Alternate-day schedule — 15 days per month, one day in and one day off.
