Role Description

  • The Pharmacist role at Tonia Pharmacy Ltd. is a full-time, on-site position based in Abuja.
  • The Pharmacist will dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications accurately, provide counseling on proper drug use, side effects, and interactions, and ensure adherence to regulatory and safety standards.
  • Daily tasks include reviewing prescriptions for appropriateness, maintaining accurate patient records, managing inventory, monitoring stock levels, and overseeing storage conditions.
  • The Pharmacist will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, support health education initiatives, and contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement in pharmacy services.
  • The role also involves assisting customers with health-related inquiries and promoting responsible use of medicines and healthcare products.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in clinical pharmacy practice, including safe dispensing, medication counseling, and pharmacovigilance.

  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology, dosage calculations, drug interactions, and regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical services.

  • Proficiency in pharmacy management systems, inventory control, and documentation of patient and prescription records.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with the ability to explain medical information clearly and respectfully.

  • Attention to detail, strong ethical standards, and commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team, manage time efficiently, and adapt to a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from a recognized institution, with full professional registration and current practicing license.

  • Relevant experience in community.
