About the Role Join Dis-Chem Pharmacies as a Pharmacist at the Walmer Park store to deliver pharmaceutical care, manage medicine-related needs and ensure compliance with legal and professional standards. What You'll Do

• Provide pharmaceutical care and assess patients' medicine-related needs, ensuring safe and effective therapy.
• Dispense medicines and confirm prescriptions, signing off as per GPP 2.7.1.2.1.f and bearing accountability for accuracy.
• Inform and advise patients on medicine use and potential interactions; educate on adherence and follow-up.
• Determine patient compliance and follow through to meet medicine-related needs; provide pharmacist-initiated therapy where appropriate.
• Compound, prepare, package, supervise preparation of medicines and scheduled substances; oversee manufacturing and supervision as needed.
• Manage procurement, storage, and distribution of medicines; handle purchasing, importing and stock control; assist with stock takes.
• Assist with registration of medicines under the Medicines Act and Pharmacy Act; support pharmaceutical research and development.
• Interpret prescriptions accurately; capture details in the system; ensure correct picking, packing, labeling and dosage awareness.
• Provide accurate medical aid cost explanations; explain claims procedures and assist with medical aid submissions.
• Enforce compliance with SAPC guidelines and professional acts; maintain customer profiles and liaise with Dispensary Manager on admin and reporting.
• Maintain stock and admin accuracy; report stock levels and losses; ensure policies, safety and housekeeping standards.
• Support the Dispensary Manager in administration and adherence to legislation; participate in stock counts and stock control processes. What We're Looking For
• Essential: Grade 12/Matric; BPharm / equivalent; Registered with SAPC; minimum 2-3 years experience in Pharmaceuticals and 2-3 years retail pharmacy; computer literate (MS Office). Nice to Have
• Advantageous: Relevant retail/FMCG experience; third language; SAP experience; e-scripting experience; registered tutor; Unisolv experience. Compensation & Benefits
