About the Role The Outpatient Pharmacist I is responsible for the preparation, compounding and dispensing of medications according to the laws, policies and regulations governing the practice of pharmacy. The role focuses on optimizing drug therapy by identifying, resolving, and preventing drug-related problems and adverse drug events. This position is onsite at Dana-Farber's Boston-area campus and supports adult and pediatric patients.
What You'll Do
- Appropriately dispenses pharmaceuticals, including non-sterile compounds, chemotherapy, biologics, controlled substances, and specialty medications for adult and pediatric patients.
- Performs quality checks on prescription orders entered by pharmacy technicians; assists technicians with data entry of prescriptions for complex orders.
