About the Role Provides specialized pharmaceutical care in acute care settings, including purchasing, storing, prescribing, assessing, preparing, dispensing and monitoring medications. Collaborates with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes and ensure safe and effective medication use.
What You'll Do
- Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
- Reviews and interprets prescription orders for patients, carefully checking dosages, allergies, interactions, therapeutic duplication.
What We're Looking For
- Education: PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy (Required)
- Licensure/Certification: California Board of Pharmacy License (Required); ASHP/CSHP membership and Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (Preferred)
- Experience: Acute-care hospital experience as a Clinical Pharmacist or equivalent (Preferred)
- Additional qualities: Ability to communicate with patients and healthcare professionals, strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and proficient in medication safety and reconciliation.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $57.69 - $87.21 per hour
