PetSmart is hiring store associates to support pet parents and care for pets across U.S. and Canada, with safety training, on-the-job learning, and development opportunities. Provide excellent customer service to pet parents and assist in pet care activities under safety certifications and training. Participate in cross-training across store departments and enroll in development workshops or shadow leaders. Follow PetSmart's pet care standards, report any health concerns, and engage with veterinarians as needed. Ensure customers leave the store with required pet-specific items and educate them on care and environmental needs of specialty pets. Support and participate in training programs for bathers/stylists and grooming pathways, including stages of becoming a full-fledged PetSmart stylist. Support store operations, adhere to schedules posted in advance, and communicate with leadership about staffing needs.
Age 18 or older (U.S. and Canada), except Montana or where otherwise required by law. Passion for pets and customer service; willingness to learn; no matter your prior experience, there is always more to learn. Flexibility to work early morning, evening, and weekend shifts; ability to adapt to store location hours. Ability to report concerns promptly and work with leaders to resolve issues. Strong communication and teamwork skills, plus comfort working in a retail pet-care environment.
