Personal Banker

About the Role Be a problem solver, trusted advisor, and partner to the people and businesses in our KeyBank communities. Personal Bankers engage clients in deeper conversations to uncover needs and provide guidance and solutions to assist in client's financial wellness both in person and through proactive calling efforts. As part of the branch team, the Personal Banker will work toward attracting new clients to Key and work with existing clients to develop and expand relationships based on their unique financial goals, leading to client confidence in their finances. What You'll Do

• Embodies a strong client experience culture, being present with every client and teammate and realizing the impact we can have on their day, personally, professionally, and financially.
• Listen for clues for financial wellness opportunities during in-person and over the phone client conversations and provide effective and customized financial wellness recommendations to clients.
• Consistently attains individual activity, behavior, and outcome goals and expectations.
• Opening personal and business accounts (consumer checking, small business, various deposit products, home equity, unsecured lending, certificates of deposit, etc.).
• Developing strong partnerships with branch teammates and line of business partners – focusing on client acquisition and deepening the relationship of current clients; effectively managing internal and external centers of influence.
• Ensuring compliance with operational, risk, security and audit procedures and policies including appropriate documentation of client interactions.
• Support of branch operations including assisting with client transactions on the Teller line as needed.
• Participate in and occasionally facilitate in-person morning huddles and end of day debriefs.
• Work on Saturdays as directed by management.
• Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
• Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key. What We're Looking For
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent business experience.
• Strong client service orientation with ability to listen for financial wellness opportunities and provide customized recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to meet activity, behavior, and outcome goals.
• Experience in opening personal and business accounts and working with deposit products and lending options.
• Ability to develop partnerships with branch teammates and line of business partners and manage internal/external centers of influence.
• Knowledge of operational risk, security, and audit procedures; ability to document client interactions.
• Availability to work Saturdays as directed and participate in morning huddles.
• Commitment to comply with KeyBank policies and maintain ethical standards.
