About the Role As a Personal Banker at KeyBank, you are a problem solver, trusted advisor, and partner to clients in our KeyBank communities. You will engage clients in conversations to uncover financial wellness opportunities and provide guidance and solutions, both in person and through proactive calling, helping clients move forward on their financial journey. The Personal Banker is client-first, sales-driven, self-motivated, and competitive, working as part of a branch team to attract new clients and deepen relationships. What You'll Do
- Embody a strong client experience culture, being present with every client and teammate and realizing the impact we can have on their day, personally, professionally, and financially.
- Listen for financial wellness opportunities during in-person and over-the-phone client conversations and provide effective and customized financial wellness recommendations to clients.
- Consistently attain individual activity, behavior, and outcome goals and expectations.
- Open personal and business accounts (consumer checking, small business, various deposit products, home equity, unsecured lending, certificates of deposit, etc.).
- Develop strong partnerships with branch teammates and line of business partners – focusing on client acquisition and deepening the relationship of current clients; effectively managing internal and external centers of influence.
- Ensure compliance with operational, risk, security and audit procedures and policies including appropriate documentation of client interactions.
- Support branch operations including assisting with client transactions on the Teller line as needed.
- Participate in and occasionally facilitate in-person morning huddles and end of day debriefs.
- Work on Saturdays as directed by management.

- Comply with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key. What We're Looking For
- Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent business experience required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Work Experience: 1+ years experience in developing current and new customer relationships, achieving sales goals, and building referral sources. Sales experience valued over financial services experience.
- Understanding of consumer credit – including loan-to-value, debt-to-income and credit reports.
- Foundational knowledge of sales and service techniques with clients, including tele-consulting, outside calling, prospecting, and networking.
- Comfortable interacting with small business clients, overcoming objections, and asking fact-finding questions with the goal of being helpful. (preferred)
- Demonstrated experience with influencing business partners and leveraging centers of influence, including working with partners such as Key Investment Services, Mortgage and Business Banking sales professionals.
- Working knowledge of PCs (Windows, Word, Excel) and other Office Products.
- Working knowledge of digital technology (mobile, apps, web-based browsing) and ability to educate clients on digital platforms and capabilities within Key.
- Licenses and Certifications: Notary License preferred. Nice to Have
