ABOUT THE ROLE
- Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Perioperative Nurse will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing surgical and invasive procedures, ensuring safe, effective and evidence-based care throughout the preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative phases. The role also supports patient safety, infection prevention, surgical asepsis and efficient theatre operations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing or Kenya Registered Nursing.
- Higher Diploma in Perioperative Nursing. (Mandatory)
- Registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya with a valid Practicing License.
- At least 2 years' experience in a busy Operating Room.
- Experience providing direct nursing care in surgical cases within the last 1 Year required.
- Valid ACLS and BLS certificates.
